This week has been full of projects ... some that are getting in the way of things I really should be working on!
I'm linking up at freshly pieced!
I am almost done with this Ruby Baby Quilt! I'm just trying to finish hand stitching the binding!
Next .....
I have a TON of these blocks that I need to put together into a quilt. This is the "pogo stick" block from the Modern Blocks book.
I can't decide which layout I like best. To be honest, I'm not really super excited about this quilt, the colors aren't popping like I thought they would.
Option #1
Option #2
Option #3
Option #4
I just started this quilt two days ago! I have 180 HST's ready to piece together! I'm thinking about layout options for this one too! It's the week of decisions for me.
Option #1
Option #2
Option #3
Option #4
Option #5
Option #6
Any suggestions?

Wow that's a lot of options! I like Option 3 from the pogo stick pattern.
ReplyDeleteFrom the HSTs I like options 4, 5 and 6 =D
I'm not any help except that I think they all look awesome! All your projects and options. :p good luck figuring it out. ;) do you wish I just didn't post a comment. Heehee.
ReplyDeleteThe quilting on the Ruby quilt looks so nice! Lots of options are nice but sometimes overwhelming. I like the color layout of the top three and option 5 on the hst's. Good luck!
ReplyDeletelots of options, what IF you took the 4 dark ones away from the pogo stick pile and just used the rest? I think that's what's "throwing off" the look.
ReplyDeleteOr even stick with a 3 x 3 pastel grid?
maybe make a runner with the 4 leftovers or a small square quilt with sashing or something like that.
I wondered if the pogo stick blocks would "pop" more if you did a dark gray or charcoal sashing in between the blocks? I like option 3 as well.
ReplyDeleteFor the HSTs, I'm really torn... All the options are wonderful, but if I had to choose, I think I'd pick option 4.
Good luck. I'm sure both quilts will be fabulous!
Option 1 for the first one
ReplyDeleteOption 4 or 5 for the second one.
You projects always end up so nice - I have total faith in you!
On the first one, it was hard for me to see it really well, but on the HST's I love either #5 or #6. Good luck on chooseing one!
ReplyDeleteOoh, HSTs number six definitely! It looks like the grey blocks could be floating on rugged terrain of pattern. Love it!
ReplyDeleteOh I love the Ruby quilt! As for the options I'm a fan of #2 for the first one and #5 for the second. Good luck figuring everything out!
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit late chiming in but I think option 4 for the first one and option 3 for the second. Whatever you chose it'll look great! The baby quilt is beautiful! jo
ReplyDeleteSorry on my phone, didn't mean to type jo!! Lucy x
